me and Noam

I was listening to a twenty years ago recording of Noam Chomsky talking about power and he was making a point about how the rich dominate the poor. At first I thought it is true and worth being upset about, as I had been. Later I thought about a different view which is that something always is dominating. There is no world where that doesn’t exist, is there? In a way whatever dominates is rich by virtue of dominating, no? Or is dominating just about money? Does that mean money the issue or is the need to dominate the issue? If there was no money would there still be one force dominating another. I bet there would. Why is popular culture dominates (often) by really horrible music? For example check every popular radio station. Is it because of the money behind the artist being advertised? Or is it that people love these musics and I am an anomaly to not find them awesome? I like the second idea more, there is nothing wrong with the world, it’s just my taste is horrible. That would also mean then that it is not about money but an organic need between cellular structures to dominate and be dominated.
