Part of what I looked forward to, in performing at the UJPO fundraiser last week, was that Naomi Klein was the main speaker. Many years ago I was asked to play at convocation hall before Noam Chomsky’s lecture. I’ve opened for many musicians over the years like Jonathan Richmond, Billy Bragg, Michelle Shocked, Dr. John, Mark Robot, Vic Chesnutt but even more I like my CV can boast having opened for Noam Chomsky and now Naomi Klein. It adds a certain je-ne-sais-quoi to pair with the surrealism of my job.
