A month after their sold out Danforth Music Hall show, a fan of the band Kükamongus recognized the lead guitarist buying pot at a new outlet in the Kensington Market called Your Highness. She stopped him,
“Hey! You are amazing! I was at your show last month and the way you play guitar is incredible!” The guitarist thanked her but added it isn’t so amazing to which she said,
“Gawd – you are too humble. Nobody can do what you do.” He replied,
“If people didn’t know how to walk across the street and then they saw you walk across the street, maybe even whistling at the same time, they would be calling you amazing.”
“I don’t think so.”
“They would want an autograph and say I can’t believe you just walked across the street and made it look easy!” She didn’t consider this very long,
“That is not the same thing at all. That’s crazy.”
“Ok I guess I’m crazy and amazing.”
“Don’t forget it.”
