What to do about Buffy St. Marie. I assign certain films in my songwriting and music business classes and I love the film Rumble: The Indians That Rocked The World. However, since the Fifth Estate’s incredible expose showed Buffy’s Italian and English background plus the birth certificate she previously insisted did not exist, and since it also showed she threatened her birth family with legal action if they shared her family’s true story…I am thinking I should address this wrinkle. Otherwise it seems deceitful to recommend it without addressing it.
