Almost a fight in the songwriting class when one student found Trump funny re: Canada becoming 51st state and others offended by student who found it funny because it isn’t funny it’s serious. Big discussion followed about serious and sarcastic which morphed into a discussion about Short People by Randy Newman which none had ever heard of. I am getting very used to the experience of nobody knowing any of my musical references. It works both ways.
