You can’t supply wisdom to someone simply by showing them words. That’s the trick in the teaching business. Like Arnold, the psychiatrist, used to say at our staff meetings, “a group moves as fast as its slowest member”. Doesn’t that sum everything up? Certain people cannot understand how to use their index fingers when learning the F# scale, others get it before I even explain it. Nothing wrong about any of it, it’s just the way it is.
