I think there will always be a head honcho and someone in charge – a leader if you will. Always has been and always will be. It’s even inside each mind, no? The very make up of mind – a leader believing themself in charge, “I’ll choose Pepsi not Coke”. Revered in a way and facing constant revolt. Parts of a mind wish to be different – but do they win? For more than a minute? It’s like how people enter into therapy but are never “cured”. Therapy talks and talk is good but isn’t the fantasy to resolve the inner conflict? That’s partly the dilemma in free improv. Determining if there is a leader and/ or if a leader is necessary.
