best email ever

My favourite moment organizing 30 dates Mike and I are doing in Western Canada next winter, came from Lorna Evans. I have had terrific exchanges with her but the first was the best:

Hello, Mr. Wiseman,
My name is Lorna Evans. I am on the board of a non-profit, charitable community arts centre in Fort Qu’Appelle, Sk, the Qu’Appelle Valley Centre for the Arts. If you would like to check to make sure that this is a legitimate email you are receiving, you can check out our website. We are also on Facebook.

The reason I am contacting you is that we recently received an email, which appeared to be from you, wondering if we would be interested in you and Mike Boguski performing a concert at the QVCA in February 2026. As our email address is publicly available, we get quite a few scam emails, so we were reluctant to reply to the email or click on the link or attachment included. There were a few things about the email that gave us reason to be suspicious. I also thought it was probably too good to be true that musicians, as well known and acclaimed as you and Mike Boguski, would be interested in putting on a concert in our fairly small concert space in an arts centre in the Qu’Appelle Valley in Saskatchewan.

If the email was authentic, and you and Mike Boguski really want to perform at the QVCA in February, we would be very interested in hosting the concert. Would you please confirm whether or not you sent us the email?
Thank you for your attention to this.
Sincerely,
Lorna Evans
