1 channel of overhead speakers

On my way to join the picketers at York University, I stopped to get a quick bite. Sitting at a franchise had two refreshing musical experiences from the overhead speakers. First, Yellow Submarine, so pleasing that the Beatles hard panned considerable mixes of their work. Magnificent to listen to whole sequences without vocals or drums, hearing what you know very well as though it is the inaugural experience. Following that, Beat It came on, and for some reason, when Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo unfolded, which in previous years seemed amusing, this time I could hear what felt like every drop-in point and thus the solo was less authentic. It is Michael Jackson after all, why am I complaining about whether it sounds real or natural.
