Jim Keltner inside

Since wee-est memories whatever musical connection has me, felt anybody can be same, like here is a key to a house and I don’t own the house but there’s the door. Other people try it, some can open it, some can’t make it work but that isn’t their fault, they just have to keep trying to jiggle it in every way, they might get it tomorrow. The bigger deal is the house and we both know what’s inside is Jim Keltner.

He lives in there with the others. His Wikipedia so hard to read without spilling whatever’s in my hand.  Last night watched the dark documentary at the Bloor Cinema about triplets. For the people who separated these babies and carefully lied to their families and organized adoptions into specific socioeconomic settings, it was about studying nature vs. nurture. All for science or probably all for grant money. Have heard so much talk about whether you are born musical or not as if the important part is to prove whether or not things are genetically predetermined. I bet the desire behind knowing that, assuming it could be known, is the fear of finding out you don’t have free will.

In the triplets film the adoption agency is of its time and place, fetishizing scientific research and inconveniences like informing people of their unknown siblings or surreptitiously spying on them is thought a reasonable price. They don’t tune into putting their bias under microscope which would be a more interesting movie – the bias behind the bias, (good band name). That would be a better concept for exploring free will too. When will they make a doc about Jim Keltner, I hope they skip the part about whether his genes positioned him to play with famous people.
