I only remember the first part, they turned to a page near the middle, “If I want to control my dog I put leash on her, if I want to control my leaking roof I put new shingles on it, but if I want to control my mind I can’t. There is no position where I am separate from it. You can’t influence or organize or control anything you are not separate from.” Afterward, in the Q & A, another student said, “But sometimes I do control my mind.” And the first student replied, “if you control it “sometimes” then who controls it in the other times?
