put your little hand in mine

an amazing piece of luck, at seven years old, discovering a song that went straight to the heart, indoctrination complete. now a desire to rock and to rock out. lyrics made absolutely no sense but at least the title rhymed with being dizzy, kid loves to spin. hook was most amazing. sort of primitive outsider gesture, repeating every chord change, overkill, nothing could be more perfect to little ears. tried to take lessons but gerry devins, the teacher, assigned on top of old smokey. how pointless when you know you’re a rocker. dizzy miss lizzy was perfect and all on one string! added bonus: every time i practised, consuming the vocals of twenty-two yr old dr. winston o’boogie, greatest scream ever.
