Last February, in the sauna after working out at the Y, me and another guy talked about the democratic debates. He told me they are socialists, added he was scared of socialism because he came from a country that was socialist. I didn’t automatically agree so he changed the subject to how Trudeau bugs him because he calls himself a feminist, said it makes Trudeau weaker on the international stage. Another man entered in the middle of this. I thought identifying as a feminist means extending respect to women and everyone else. The new guy nodded in agreement. First guy left, disappointed with both of us. New guy says he hears crazy conversations in the sauna, all the time and then, what do you do for a living. I’m a student. Of what? Of music. You’re a little old to be a music student aren’t you? Guess I’m just an old music student. Did you hear Chrissie Hynde supports Rush Limbaugh and she’s an anti-feminist?
