bass player told the lead guitarist he wanted to quit the band because there were too many conflicts. the lead singer pesters him to play more quietly, manager wants him to dress more colourfully, record company used promo shot where he had a pimple on his face and the agent didn’t include his vegetarian meal in the rider. lead guitarist asked how many of those conflicts were in his imagination. the bass player said none, they were all real. drummer said if the singer wants you to be quieter that’s just you resenting criticism, if the manager wants you to dress differently that’s his idea of how to sell the band, if the record company used a picture where you had a pimple on your face that’s just your bruised ego, if the agent forgot to include your vegetarian meal that doesn’t mean you can’t find other food. bassist said so you think it’s all in my head? lead guitarist said what? bassist repeated, are you saying it’s all in my head? lead guitarist said do i think what’s all in your head? bassist became angry and said loudly do you think this is all in my head? lead guitarist said calm down, of course it’s real, no doubt you should quit the band then all these problems will go away.
