Am trying to plan out my songwriting course, specifically how to attempt teaching it online. In one exercise, I asked the students last year to take 20 minutes and eavesdrop around the school. Return and write the snippets on the blackboard and then we used those words as lyrics in songs. But now they will not be together in a classroom. Probably in their own apartments, not sure where they will be. Must rethink the How To of acquisition of random lyrics. Too bad, because everyone enjoys being asked to spy.
