the W word

The rush hour car in front while heading home through Bloor was blasting music with windows rolled down. The lyrics densely used the N word and the father with two little boys in front of me became angry and glared disapprovingly at the woman behind the wheel. A man walking his dog passed me and raised his eyebrows signifying whose side of this story he was on. Then a teen on a bike rode by also blasting music and made a funny face at the boys whose father was trying to protect them from hearing the first set of lyrics. The father was right to be offended, the kids were right to wonder about their dad, the woman playing music was right to enjoy it loudly, the guy on the bike was right to have his opinion, the teenager was right to be playful with the two boys. Everyone thinks they are in the right. It’s an unusual person okay with being wrong.
