You’re driving and you turn on the radio, there’s only a few stations. They have playlists, certain songs are repeated whether you like it or not, that’s all that’s playing. That’s all that ever was playing since you were a baby and long after you die, just a few stations the same types of songs, day in day out. You can’t make your mind be a different mind, maybe that’s one of the songs, I need to be different, I need to be different. One thing that’s potentially different is realizing you live a radio. That might offer a way to be less upset, no? If you can’t even see it for the radio it is and the same stations forever playing Karen Carpenter and Jim Croce. You might naturally always have those same reactions forever too, unless something about this whole experience convinced you it’s mechanical.
