We were watching Harry Potter, my daughter likes watching things 17 times in a row. It has so many brilliant actors from the other side of the Atlantic, so I don’t mind. And then Miranda Richardson, I didn’t previously notice. I think that’s why later after everyone was asleep I put on The Crying Game. So many faves when young like Stephen Rea, Forrest Whitaker, Jim Broadbent. Poor Miranda get’s blown to smithereens. It did seem fair especially since I was on Dell’s side. Revenge. I like revenge songs, especially impressed when it’s a surprise, like Hannibal Lecter’s last words to Jody Foster, “I’m having someone for dinner.” or in literature when you get to the end of The Blind Assassin. These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ came up right away when Googling revenge songs. I thought over the lyric and guess it makes sense, but my first thoughts would have been Ballad of A Thin Man or Fuck You by Cee Lo Green.
