Have to keep working on my book even though it is a much lower level of creativity, but in a way every time you consume a great work you might also gain something. There was a Sufi or a Zen story where a certain student became enlightened just from hanging around the teacher, it was enough. I knew an awesome musician who was a disappointing person, did mean things to vulnerable people and yet their relationship to music was amazing. It’s true, just hanging around someone with that intensity in their music had it’s own way of lifting up your music.
