creative mistakes

It’s hot, hot without notice in Toronto following winter. Spring was just a scam, about 30 minutes long and poof sauna time. Should I trust this? Should I move the plants outside or stick to the old rules, nothing outside until after May 24. I had a big beautiful amazing Jade, must have been thirty years old and while touring the East Coast one autumn, asked a friend to take care of it, he had it outside and frost came early. He didn’t know about plants. I was in pieces, all that time and energy croaked overnight. So meaningless, but then again meaning is just human perception. Death and destruction are after all just as natural as a bee landing on a rose, none of it necessarily meaningless. But god damn it Charlie why didn’t you bring in the jade? What’s between your ears, straw? I have full spectrum lights on these babies through the winter. They thrive, they’ve all outgrown their pots. I need some serious transplant time. Tried to transplant the banana seat I obtained from just around the block. Funny to go through Craigs List and Kijiji encountering banana seats across North America mostly over $100 some more than $350 and landing on one that was $25 from an old man in a long coat in a park up the street. It was even the colour she wished for. Alas, it won’t fit into my daughter’s bike but I don’t think the story is over yet. It looks like it could with the right tools. The remaining cavity after I remove the old seat seems just a smidge compressed disallowing the new seat’s hardware to penetrate. I’m heading to Bike Pirates up the street to see what they say. Originally they were called Bike Pilates but the printer misunderstood the handwriting and everyone enjoyed the mistake. I think they did the right thing too. I think Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell also did the right thing allowing their laughter to remain on Big Yellow Taxi and Bob Dylan’s 115th Dream.
