Had my last classes for the term. A real love-in. Sudip, who works the all night shift at McDonalds by the 401, said he didn’t want to leave, wanted the class to continue. Earlier, he gave me pointers that subsequently made my dahls taste brilliant. The chair called me offering to run the same course again in the winter and if there was enough enrollment, I could do two classes. It’s nice news. Subject Description: This course introduces song writing theory and the art and craft of lyric writing.  The history behind some of the current musical genres and lyrical movements and musical selections are explored.  The many ways in which songs result in humour, shock, imprisonment and emancipation, impact neurological health and occasionally cause social change are analysed.
