I was viewing old footage of Jonathan Winters. I knew he was a hero of Robin Williams but I never noticed how much Robin Williams modelled himself after the rhythm of Jonathan Peters. It’s like music, like hearing a new artist who obviously spent all their time imitating Drake or Dylan or Dolly. But both Jonathan Winters and Robin Williams feel so improvised. I hope they were, I think it is more brave and exciting.
