Recently at the Improv-School journal they had a call out for submissions for an upcoming next issue. Specifically, they asked for someone familiar with the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and the complete works of George Orwell. A candidate comfortable communicating in doublespeak who also acknowledges doublespeak cannot be used for communication, or as they put it looking for submissions that highlight scholar-practitioners who use anti-oppressive methodologies and anti-hierarchical approaches to challenge colonial structures within institutions and community practices, through various forms of improvisation—while also interrogating the extent to which the institutionalization of improvisation is itself subject to colonial imperatives.
