Eventually, to up the ante they played more unexpected techniques. One plucked the strings with his teeth the other slid beer bottles against the upper frets and the crowd went wild. At the same time, the drummer and bassist who provided the rhythm against which the two virtuosos were earning their reputation, noticed they seemed invisible to the crowd and if they stopped, the guitar stars would be unable to continue.
