arm wrestle

My daughter lying in bed but before drifting off insists on another arm wrestle. She grits her teeth, even uses both hands, then requests a head start. It easy for me to hold her off, she wants to know why I am stronger. It won’t be long before she wins and I am frail (and insist on a head start). I wonder what she will be when she grows up I say. She doesn’t want to die in a car accident she says. One more thing we have in common. She played violin for a little bit, piano too but currently they do not hold her interest. At first I was not pulled that way either, not until my brother put me to work. You play the left hand said he. What an unpredictable sequence, there to here; the butterfly’s wings in South America, tornado in North Dakota.
