The song I have been working on, now has a middle section that slaps the ear around differently than everything stated first. Perhaps considering the initial motifs display combinations of melodicism and sometimes swift techniques, it will buy me time with even the most judgemental listener. Make them at least wonder what the composer is trying to say and query their own bias or so goes my imagination. Sort of can’t help it. For better or worse, I imagine what the listener thinks. How could I possibly know? In fact I know I don’t know but still proceed down this unfriendly path or at least do partly.
