I never met Danny Grossman but I recall twice seeing him riding a bike. Looking graceful as dancers do, as if everything is part of the dance including this bike and how he is balanced holding the handles. Last night I watched some of his videos. They are remarkable. Especially the memorial for Germaine Pierce. No words for that. I recognized something about him that is also in Claudia Moore when we played so many times together last year. That continuity thing, the attention to movement on stage no different than how they sit having coffee like the improvisation thing. Listening to the other, no different than the blaring ambulance or passing conversations in Mandarin or Greek, all of us making sounds.
