Watching lectures by David Mamet. Makes me want to return to his pieces, view them again knowing his process better. It is pleasing and inspiring that he sees continuity between the hero and the writer and the audience. Like all are the same thing. People don’t usually talk that way, as though everything is a proxy for everything. I think it’s gold. Makes me think to discuss writing this way with the fall students.
