as it already was

Students discussed Joni MItchell’s Big Yellow Taxi last week. Very different conclusions. Some said she was expressing early environmentalist perspectives, reevaluating technology. Some said she was shortsighted discounting that farmers were applying what the were sold/ told to acquire better yields and ways to have less insects present in final product. Insinuating the farmers were not also into the birds and the bees was unfairly judgemental. A line of thought I never heard before. Then the bluesers got involved, liking or disliking the blueseyness of the progression and finally the production experts had their say. Rejecting or accepting the lack of drums or the uniqueness of the rhythm. I believe everything is as it already was.
