now the literature review. i don’t know. there are a bunch of books and i read them. so? some of them were amazing. some of them make me wish i was as good at writing as those guys but i’m not. that’s fine. what do i say in a literature review? what questions do i have? i don’t really have any i just want to get on with writing the thing i am writing that doesn’t have to do with the books i read except some were inspiring. if i did have questions, what would they be? and then how would i make a fight between one writer and another. i am writing about the fact that life itself is an improvisation. did anyone i read say that? yes in a way john cage says that. i will start with him. did anyone else riff in a similar way? maybe r. murray schafer, maybe jan cox, lao tsu, gurdjieff and sun ra. ok that’s a start. what about all those fiction writers? yeah that’s true, they were important but they weren’t writing about this life as improvisation thinking. so then why did you include them? because i’m writing fiction and some blew me away. so write about that. what exactly about their fiction blew you away? what exactly gets you excited about what they did and what you are trying to do? good one. ok thanks for that. you’re welcome.
