A student told the class today about that time everyone was posting baby videos about Adele’s song. They nodded like old timers remembering something. I was like huh? She said it was way back. Remember 2015? Oh the ancient 2015. About nine years ago, right? As it turned out new mothers posted videos of their babies crying when Adele got to a point of pain in her song or a point of rejection or maybe a high note, who knows. I liked the premise that something mystical between infants and Adele was happening. Also liked wondering how many infants did not have a reaction and whose non reaction was never posted and never went viral. Maybe I should have not said that out loud.
