AfAfter meeting Julia Sasso for the first time by playing piano with her while she danced away, we talked about the worlds we have known as Torontonians. Later in the day she sent me a link to the video Danny Grossman made around his 80th birthday. I never met him just noticed posters for his shows and one time admired his posture riding his bike on Baldwin. I remember thinking it is like dancers know everything is dance, even the way this guy rides his bike like Mr. John Cage knew the vacuum cleaner is worth listening to as much as a viola or an Eastern Wood Peewee. Damn what a brave fascinating artist. I can’t describe in words the value of what this guy does in the video as he moved through the last parts of his life. If I am ever made mayor of this town this will be mandatory viewing if you still want the city to pick up your garbage. https://shorturl.at/mtER5
