thinking fast slow

I started an incredible book by Daniel Kehlerman who died this year. Thinking Fast Thinking Slow. I never previously heard of him but I like Sarah Haider’s X and Youtube channels. She wrote about him and I made a note to pick up this book. He writes about mind as having two systems and I’m liking it for explaining the position of the composer or improviser. He calls them system one and system two. Off the top he explains even though he uses these terms he has to make it absolutely clear that they are at the same time completely fictitious. Isn’t that how things are arranged precisely? You think there is music but is it not just waves of sound? You say “I” but is it not just thoughts, thoughts that say things like “I think…”
