ceelo green’s other hit

There is a tough and defiant young woman in my class. You don’t want to mess with her. I make further trouble pronouncing her name wrong – more than once. I meet two hundred students each year and I tell them off the top how unlikely it is I will remember their names or pronunciations especially if the name unusual to my ears. I will try but don’t be pissed off if i don’t get it right. Hers is extra hard because it is not spelled the way it is pronounced. No doubt, this has and will follow her all her life. Still, she cuts me no slack and gives the evil eye. I am a bit scared of her or people like this who seem incurable in their pouty leave me alone energy. She was super pissed off when she could not sign up for the Kanye West presentation because others already selected it. She entered the class three weeks late, that is how it goes. She then had to choose someone she never heard of; Leonard Cohen. She pronounces it like Leotard Corn. Last week it was her turn to present a song that changed her life she chose In My Life by the Beatles. I didn’t see that coming. I love surprises and I am a fairly insane Beatles person. I thought she might like to know other facts like how it was used in the movie Five Corners or throughout that mourning period by the media after he was murdered or that John Lennon was the name of the particular Beatle who wrote it. She didn’t. I guess I only get one surprise at a time.
