The other two things I most enjoyed at the Lynn Miles show at Hugh’s Room last Thursday was her fancy Nashville jacket which she mentioned once after the 4th or 5th song. She said she had CDs for sale and then after a pause she added “I mention it because I’m still paying off this jacket.” The second highlight was the backstage gossip about the Louvin Brothers. Picture Caitlin Hanford, Rebecca Campbell, and Lynn harmonizing on If I Could Only Win Your Love while swapping stories about how at least one Louvin had a reputation for being “handy.” Not “plays guitar handy” more “would you like to see my motel room handy.”
