I was playing that thing in the dark and I couldn’t see my hands but I could hear where it was going and I liked what it did for my head and my heart. I stayed there and expanded slowly until it seemed I would be overstaying my welcome. That’s when I considered taking a hard left turn into a tonality I wasn’t sure of but when you already are comfortable, so comfortable that dissonance couldn’t throw you, it’s easier to pivot and expand.
