The assignment was to write a song about an issue which might get you in trouble with the law or else write about someone in jail you believe wrongly convicted. A student missed handing in an assignment by about a week, sent an apology stating their religion made them too emotional about the subject to complete on time. Same person hasn’t shown any signs of such sensitivity previously, in fact they’re a wee bit disruptive to the more serious focus. I’m happy they have religion, hope it helps them get through the tough times that come from not getting high marks.
