Trying to figure out how to make my daughter’s lunches more game changing. She won’t eat salad but she will eat cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes separately. Took me a long time to realize this isn’t a problem. Fun to play Hamilton the other night and keep it to piano. While driving there Subterranean Homesick Blues came over the airwaves. Such a game changing song, even when I was little and first heard it in my brother’s record collections. It feels like the earliest rap song or the first beat poetry done to music that sticks. There was a cover of it by Harry Nilsson and John Lennon on the Pussycats record but it disappointed me. Didn’t sound more amazing than the original. Applied for three more jobs. Two as a teacher, one as a Dean. I liked the advice I got from Tom St. Louis, explaining straight up what they get if they take a chance on you. I think its fair considering all the things one manages as a touring and recording artist. Skills are transferable. Don’t have to get stuck on calling it a salad.
