I don’t know where to take the thing in G minor but it bores me to stay where it is. Trying to break out of the circle I created for myself by taking the shape of what my left hand established and transferring it into other keys. Slowly makes new roads although I am not yet convinced the hoped for outcome will arrive this way. Very pleased with the Art Tatum lessons I obtained during covid, because they up my game in other directions, like this. Who knew he did so much flying with only two fingers? Also using 10ths with three fingers which is a sound I heard in a hungarian Rhapsody when I was a teenager. I can’t thank Liszt enough for writing like that. My meager imitation makes me feel like a million bucks. I assume he felt like a billion.
