Still designing a zine syllabus inspired by Chris Cavanagh’s example. Mine would be about Popular music and how it can influence things or so goes my theory. One part concerns itself with the difference between writing about things you don’t know and things you do. Was looking online could there be an example of someone making no bones about saying nothing. Poof, Phil Collins interview about In The Air Tonight – “it wasn’t about anything at all” says Phil.  Would like to contrast that with the Kinks song The Money-Go-Round where every line speaks to Ray Davies knowing his sad and hilarious subject inside out, real experience about disappearing music publishing money. If there are voices in the head then who is it that is listening to them? Someone calls themselves “I”, so are they the speaker or the listener? Started a book on art based research and one chapter starts with a quote by Picasso, “I never made a painting as a work of art, it’s all research”.
